Recently I had the pleasure of attending a fantastic afternoon lunch and garden tour at The Willow Farm. Having known the Curry's for years, it astounded me yet again the level of dedication to design and function that they create in every facet of their lives. They are truly living the philosophy of sustainability at a level most of us dream about. The variety of plants used in their landscape as well as the beautiful willow accenting and providing structure for their vegetable beds inspired me to wander home and dig in my own yard. The Curry's grassfed lamb was incorporated into several wonderful recipies that day and all the lamb loving friends that I brought with me have continued to comment on the succulent taste. Having seen The Willow Farm transformed from a leveled mass of mud after the 1998 El Nino flooding, into the true jewel it is today shows what can be done with continuous hard work, ingenuity, committment to values and intentional planning. Thank you Neil, Alix, and Leyla for opening your home to the community and giving us the opportunity to learn from you.

That was such a treat coming to your beautiful property. You have a slice of heaven there and are clearly thoughtful stewards of your place -it was truly inspiring. Thank you for opening your doors and sharing your piece of paradise with us. It was a wonderful day! And your dog sport, totally cool!

Neil & Alix,
Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon at your ranch. You have truly turned it into a beautiful place with something wonderful to see where ever you look. I admire your dedication to creating a sustainable business that also enhances the community and the environment. What you are doing demonstrates how living this way can be so gratifying in many ways.
Thanks again

I am in complete agreement with the previous comment. I attribute my love of animals and farming along with my appreciation for homegrown vegetables and meat to the Curry's. I have had the opportunity to know Neil and Alix for quite some time and visit the farm often and in turn, watch the farm and business grow into something I never expected. The fertility and charm of this place on the coast side is really quite astonishing. I, also, attended the Garden Club's Lamb Fest. My taste buds were titillated and my knowledge of lamb was enhanced. It was a lovely experience and I hope to see recipes on the website in the near future as I would be thrilled to recreate and serve these dishes in my own home.

I've been coming to The Willow Farm for several years now. The simple beauty of the place never ceases to amaze me. It has been and continues to be my home away form home. As an Environmental Studies major, I have a great respect for this family and what they're accomplishing through sustainable farming and grass fed lamb. For the majority of my life, I was never able to experience the goodness of lamb. My grandfather, who was is in the Army, was fed what he thought was lamb, but was actually mutton (old sheep). Apparently, this carried on through the generations, because my own father prefers meats like beef and chicken to lamb. I attribute a lot of this to the fact that he's never actually tasted good quality, grass fed lamb...Curry lamb to be exact! I attended the Garden Club's Lamb Festival this past weekend here at the farm, and tried a variety of lamb dishes: Lamb stew, shanks and burgers accompanied by fresh, seasonal vegetables and fruit. The food, the company, the beautiful afternoon..absolutely amazing! I would LOVE to be able to create some of these delicious lamb dishes in my own kitchen! When are the recipes coming?! :)

Life on Water Lane can best be described by the word Harmony. At
initial glance it seems to come from the beauty of the site as it
integrates with nature, but the more time you spend here, the more you
realize that the Curry’s carefully plan and maintain the harmonious
balance of the property.
I moved to Water Lane at a difficult time in my life, thinking it
would be just a few months until I got things sorted out. I knew my
horse was thriving here, but I didn’t realize that I would be so
blissfully happy myself. Nowhere else has ever felt like Home the way
it does here. The animals thrive, the gardens blossom, and the sun
even seems to shine a special way here.
Dinner on Water Lane compares to the best restaurants I have ever
tried. The home grown vegetables and Neil’s culinary skills bring out
the best in the home grown lamb. Knowing that these lambs have had an
exceptional life makes it much easier than buying meat in white paper.
Bon appétit!

I could write volumes of how I feel about alix and neil curry and the
willowfarm

Ill start with remembering what a client said to me when I first moved
to the coast

“find youre tribe…” well im very fortunate to have done that with with
meeting the curry’s….From the first moment I arrived on that farm I
knew I wanted to spend a lot of time there,I saw horses,Dogs, willow
furniture being made,a barn that’s a greenhouse full of light, good
energy, amazing people.Soon I found myself living on the property ,one
of the best times in my life, although I do not still live there I
still keep my horse there and spend a lot of time enjoying the farm
develop over the years,it is truly a very special place.

Ive been blessed to still be there twelve years later ,It is my
sanctuary,.it is where my family is,It inspires me daily and I never
ever not want to be part of it whats going on there.
